Seen Him? 20-Year-Old Intentionally Strikes Long Island Officer With Car, Police Say

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 20-year-old man accused of intentionally striking a Long Island police officer with his car.

The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, in Lindenhurst, during a confidential police investigation, according to Suffolk County Police.

Detectives said Christian Castillo used his car to purposely strike police vehicles and a First Precinct Anti-Crime Unit police officer who was standing outside his vehicle. The officer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Castillo is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent Bay Shore and Brentwood, according to police.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $5,000 cash for information leading to an arrest.
